Summer is over, sweat it out!

We're in tonight at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen with special guest Sami Abdel-Rahman - taking you on a journey through soul, funk, RNB, garage, UK bass and of course - HOUSE MUSIC...

Sami is the owner of the largest collection of garage vinyls we ever heard of, R. Kelly's basketball buddy and a true purveyor of soul, funk and bass music. You're in for a treat kids.

Tender Love + special guest Andrew (Huntleys & Palmers)

So wee had a little break from London recently, and we flew off to Poland to play an official afterparty for the ArtPop festival (headlined by Grace Jones!). We managed to play a spontaneous b2b with a professional Polish wedding DJ, Remigiusz (what a dude!). Quite an experience that was, we left him half of our records at the end of the night to make sure he's always two steps ahead of the competition (he earned it). Now we're back and starving for more, and joining us at Hoxton this Saturday will be one of our favorites, Andrew Thomson from Huntleys & Palmers.

Great imprint and a fine operator, we had the pleasure of joining Andrew on the H&P off-Sonar beach party back in April and it was one of the definite highlights of our long weekend in Barcelona. With artists like Auntie Flo and Diegors under the hood, and a series of superbly curated parties, Huntleys & Palmers is set to become one of the most refreshing and consistent independent labels in the UK. We know for a fact that Andrew is also a smokin' hot DJ with a mighty collection of vinyls and unreleased tracks and we're super excited to hear him play this Saturday. Tender Love Summer Mixtape

It's summertime and we're feeling the magic! The time of hedonistic pleasures, rooftop parties and festival treats... We visited Berlin sometime in May - baking in the sun at the garden of Panorama Bar must have been the highlight - and a month later we flew to the off-Sonar parties in Barcelona. We were completely blown away. Beach party too pool party to rooftop rave to club - REPEAT - with some of the most forward thinking dance music out there, amazing party people from all over the world and the baking Spanish sun...

Despite the moody sky above London, we can feel the summer vibes all around now and it leaves a lasting imprint on the music we listen to - and the music we play. Here's our first summer transmission, mixed by KV. Because sharing is loving... :)

Tender Love 1st Birthday Party

This Saturday marks a year since we began our operations as Tender Love. Our first party with Braiden and Casper C fell on the hottest day of the year, on Sunday, and only a handful of our closest friends and a few by-passers turned up on the LED flooded dancefloor... Still, it remained one of our favorite moments, and that won't change. But the good news is: we've moved on.

In a year since we hosted Matias Aguayo & Band, Jimmy Edgar, Illum Sphere, even the notorious ghetto rapper Dominique Young Unique - we made it to the Guardian's Top 5 events, we hosted a Hip Hop night at XOYO together with Le Scratch, played at The Nest, Queen of Hoxton, Electrowerkz and a number of other London based venues...

We discovered our deep and undying love for House music, threw some crazy RNB nights at Electricy Showrooms, launched a weekly Saturday residency at Hoxton Bar, and welcomed a third member of the crew.

And guess what. It's only a warm-up. While our Persian brother Mori is moving his operations outside UK, we're getting ready for the summer festival season and a new residency in Oslo, working on our own material and perfecting the craft of playing records to make you sweat.

Join us for our 1st birthday party, wave goodbye to our brother Mori and celebrate the good times - the past and the coming. McDeath is back with his lighting magic and smoke machines, and Tender Love will be in full force for the last time this season. Can't think of a better way to start the bank holiday party marathon...

It's been a while since our last update here, but if you have been following our Facebook Page you know we've been busy. Slowly but with deadly consequence we're working on our own material in the studio, preparing some exciting collaborations for our weekly Hoxton Bar residency and, last but not least, introducing new talents - the latest addition to Tender Love family being the 18 years old Kasra, a very promising talent indeed from the land of Deep Dish. Check his sets every Saturday at Hoxton from 11pm until midnight.

Meanwhile - join us this Saturday for a 2hrs journey through our favorite disco and house edits - think Paradise Garage era Frankie Knuckles meets Seth Troxler and Maceo Plex - it worked magic last weekend, this time we're bringing it to The Nest. KIWI and Ewan Smith top the bill. Message us for a free list, come down early and thank us later...

Tender Love at Le Scratch (XOYO)

Here's Time Out's seal of approval for Friday launch of Le Scratch at XOYO:

A fresh monthly mash-up in the basement where the hottest hip hop and dubstep and UK bass genres collide and mutate in the mix, with a very on-the-money line-up in control. DJs Artwork (Magnetic Man), Rinse FM's Roska, DJ-producer Snips and Sarah Young, plus live bands Chima Anya, Jo'Leon Davenue, Queens English, Mik n Cri and Camouflage Children, take charge of the action, while live art installations from hype illustrators and artists take place before your eyes. All artwork and posters will, apparently, be given away on the night. Sounds like a plan…

Tender Love will be opening downstairs at 9pm with a 1 hour set - then we're warming up for Artwork (Magnetic Man) shortly before midnight. Come and see it - expect a low-end oriented mix of underground hip-hop & RNB, UK Bass and future-garage.

Weekly residency at Hoxton Bar

More good news - since Tender Love monthly take over has become one of the most cherished free-entry parties around Shoreditch, and following the success of the NYE show, we start our weekly Saturday night residency at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen.

Expect to hear a sexy blend of slow-burning Disco, underground House and UK Bass music, with a rare selection of oldchool dancefloor classics & unreleased edits. Live visuals and guest DJs will be a new addition (TBA soon) - as well as live performance which we're working on right now. Watch this space for updates and don't miss the launch this Saturday - it's free but get there early to avoid disappointment!
