Just came back from Boom Festival - think European version of Burning Man but with a beautiful lake and better music - where the likes of Marcel Dettmann, Minilogue, Untold, Ramadanman and Murcof were providing soundtrack to one of the most magical festival experiences you can imagine. Think ecstasy, LSD, beautiful people and unconditional love.
Now I feel the inevitable "Boom blues" and the reality slowly creeps in as I reach to my wardrobe for a waterproof jacket after two weeks of running topless between the banging music stages and the lake. While trying to re-adjust to British weather I managed to dig out some videos that brought back the precious memories of recent past (and acid flashbacks)...
Yeah, Teengirl Fantasy nailed down that feeling pretty well, but so did John Hillcoat ("The Road", anyone?) with this beautiful video for UNKLE:
And last but not least - Aaron Kuffner's Gamelatron, a monstrous musical instrument planted in the heart of Boom Festival, producing some of the most enchanting sounds I have ever heard, perfect for a slow-burning chill-out after a day packed with action...
